The International Energy Agency (IEA) will acknowledge the coming of age of the renewable energy sector by publishing, for the first time, an annual medium-term report which analyses that market and provides new report forecasting developments up to 2017. Meanwhile, a mid-term review of the European Energy Programme for Recovery shows "recession busting" wind energy performed best at stimulating economic growth and creating jobs among the three areas selected for funding.
